The Idea
The Iron Scout is an exclusive national and international scouting event, created specifically for members of the scouting movement.
It is a long-distance walking challenge for teenagers and young adults, combining physical effort with strong educational and social values. There are no rankings, no winners.Focus: personal challenge · solidarity · mutual support
The Challenge
Participants complete a long-distance walk within 24 hours.
30 km · 40 km · 50 km · 65 km
All distances are equally valued. Goals may be adjusted if needed.
Participants walk at their own pace but are never allowed to walk alone.Who Can Participate?
Open exclusively to scouts and guides from the age of 13+, depending on national scouting rules.

What matters most is age, maturity and readiness.
Group Participation
Participation is group-based at registration level (as a troop), but participants are free to walk with different people during the event.
Each group must have at least one responsible adult leader who actively supervises the participants. Each leader also takes on a specific role during the event.Participation without an active scout leader is not possible.
Charity & Sponsoring
Participants can be sponsored per kilometer walked.
All donations support a selected charity project.Every step counts – for yourself and for others.
